Song of Aphrodite

This is thy love song, Aphrodite; Bearer of heaven's light. For thy vision has come before me, In the dream of a wakeful night.
I have seen that thou hast fallen Into a dream of the sleeping earth, And that thy mortal flesh has dimmed The light you once dispersed.
Awaken now my lover; Love's goddess unto men. For it is thy love, Apollo, Upon his stallion of the wind.
Arise now to majesty; Let power again command, As mana in thy wings of beauty To sever thy mortal chains.
Let memory's shroud be lifted And thy essence be renewed, In thought of untold glories, That once our passions knew.
Recall the valley of the gods, In its scent of virgin rose And the celestial songs of ecstasy, Love sang on Neptune's shore.
Love was ever our golden chalice And our eyes the jewels of passion's fire. That gave covet to the sacred soma, From the breast of deep desire.
Taste now of that sacred soma, With remembrance of love divine,That filled our hearts with laughter And the joy of lover's wine.
Let us dance in celebration, To those songs of love afar, That sing in joyous fashion, The jubilation of the stars
Then arise upon my stallion wind; Transcender of place and time;To the crown of Mount Olympus And take dominion of the lovers shrine.
For your dreaming sleep is ended And my sorrow put to grave. That love may reign again in glory; Trampled not of men in shame.
THE END
